Learn about Microscopes
It’s been said that “we live in the middle of infinity.” The endless boundaries of the universe are apparent to us when we hear astronomers speak about various stars and other celestial objects being “light years” away from us. However, if we look into the smaller worlds that make up the tiny things that can be held in our hand, we can soon find out that changes in order of magnitude in the “tiny things” can be just as dramatic as they are in our understanding of the universe.

(Here is a testimonial from a customer who found the Blister Microscope to be a great value)

I have used your Blister Microscopes in my 6th and 7th grade science classrooms for eight years. I have nothing but praise for your products.

Now, I would like to get one for my personal use. Please advise me as to the costs, models available, etc. I have been using Sr. model 68-50x GSS Blister Viewer Microscope in class. However, this is for my husband who is an extension agent. It will be used for a variety of speciums, including coins.

Thank you,

S.D.

HISTORY OF THE MICROSCOPE
It was Anton van Leeuwenhoek of Holland (1632-1723), who made the greatest contribution to the refinement and use of the microscope. After working with crude magnifiers for counting threads in the fabric sold at the store where he worked as a young man, Van Leeuwenhoek learned how to grind and polish glass lenses that allowed the greatest magnifications ever seen at that time, approximately a magnification of 270 times the apparent size to the naked eye. Van Leeuwenhoek used his new instrument to study and make the first scientific descriptions of bacteria, yeast cells, many of the organisms found in common pond water, and even the circulation of blood cells in tiny capillary vessels.
